Skillable - SolvingOnboarding at Scale in Hospitality

This project began as a discovery initiative into learning challenges within the hospitality industry. Sessions across Denmark, the UK, Norway, and Finland revealed a clear pattern: high staff turnover made onboarding repetitive, inefficient, and difficult to scale. Skillable evolved to simplify managers’ work by enabling onboarding weeks to be planned directly in the app, while giving new joiners a focused, engaging learning path from day one.

Skillable reduced onboarding overhead by turning training into a repeatable plan managers could reuse and adapt, instead of rebuilding it for every new hire. New staff also explored beyond the basics, following curiosity into related topics like beer brewing and food pairing, building broader knowledge and confidence faster—without pulling time away from the floor.
